One of the biggest hurdles for people who want to go vegan is accessibility. Sure, for someone like me who lives in Los Angeles, it’s easy. LA has a vegan restaurant on every other block and a Whole Foods – or at least a Trader Joe’s – in between. I mean, not to brag, but I actually have an all-vegan grocery store less than a mile from my house. Seriously, you should come visit if you haven’t already!
For people living elsewhere however – especially if you’re outside a major city – vegan alternatives can still be hard to come by.
I recently discovered a vegan website that I’ve quickly become obsessed with and I had to write about it because if you live in the continental US, it might just transform your world. I’m not kidding. Additionally, this all-vegan online shop is really unique and wonderful in a number of ways.
The website is called Mylk Guys. Based in San Francisco, it is vegan-owned and currently boasts over 1,000 vegan products for purchase. This mission-based online shop is super easy to use. It allows you to filter products by type, brand, allergy, organic, fair trade certified, you name it. Finding items is incredibly easy – and you never have to worry about reading ingredients because everything is vegan.
I’ve ordered so many things even I couldn’t find living in LA – like the new amazing sausages by Lightlife, rare flavors of Miyoko’s cheese, and the creamy puddings by Way Fare Foods.
Shipping is not prohibitively expensive and they also offer a membership program that brings the shipping price down even further depending on how often you shop – think of it as Amazon Prime for vegans. I’ve ordered from Mylk Guys a number of times and things are packed extremely well and delivered within a day or two of my order. Frozen or refrigerated items are sent with dry ice to ensure they don’t spoil.
But my favorite feature about Mylk Guys isn’t the insane selection of unique and amazing vegan products or the fast shipping, it’s the way they highlight women-led companies and certified B corps. Under the values tab, you can filter companies this way which allows you to easily support women entrepreneurs as well as companies that truly walk the walk. Even if you don’t use this feature to filter companies, the website lets you know when you’re viewing a product from a company that fits those descriptions.

So, check it out when you get a chance and let me know what you think. I really believe this website makes shopping for unique and delicious vegan products easy, affordable, and accessible – and no, they’re not paying me to say that – but Mylk Guys, if you’re reading, I wouldn’t say no to a discount code!
